Yes come down you will be fine.
Pike place is partially open .... all the main places are open but operating on lesser hours. And it is quiet.
Yes
Great chowder and a perfect blackened salmon sandwich.
An excellent spot in pike place market to get fresh fish. I’d recommend the chowder as an appetizer to go with your meal. Even if you don’t want to order just watch the atmosphere and how fast they’re moving!
Excellent salmon sandwich and chowder. I walk the 20 minutes from First Hill to Pike Place just for this sandwich. A winner and lifelong recommendation in my books.
Ordered a salmon platter for a quick bite. The fish was fresh and light. However, the lack of seasoning really hinder the experience. Coupling that with the price of the platter makes this a 3 star review. Perhaps the sandwich option would have been a better route. The staff was extremely nice and talkative.
Today's catch was awesome. Had a bowl of clam chowder. The chowder was ok. Seafood was chewy but tasty.
Great place to find fresh seafood, vegetables, fruit and much more. Local food places to eat right around. Have to visit while in Seattle.
I think the best part of this place was the customer service; all of them were great. It was a little hard to find because it really is a hole is the wall. It’s what you might expect from a “restaurant” in such a busy area as the public market. We had Portobello and chicken platters and clam chowder which was good; especially the chowder which I’ve missed. It was also really appreciated when one of the guys asked if I was prior military and was gracious enough to apply a discount. Thank you big time. I would definitely go back.
This is a small shack in the busy pike market. Although space is limited and the stools are accounted for, the turnover rate is very efficient. We ordered a large clam chowder and the catch of the day (Icelandic Cod sandwich) and it really hit the spot. They grill your desired meat feet away from you which anyone can appreciate. Staff was down to earth and nice enough. Definitely recommend 👌
Went there for a pre-lunch after reading the reviews... I had to go try the world famous “blackened salmon sandwich” with a small cup of clam chowder. The sandwich was delicious . Will definitely come back for another one next time I’m in town. The chowder was good, but a little too heavy with the flower.
Excellent menu and wine list. Always intriguing special of the day and fish feature. Located in Pike Pl Ste., but don't let that fool you. This is a real local hot spot. I highly recommend it.
Friendly, fast service with great seafood. What else and where else are you going to eat in Seattle? The salmon sandwich, the clam chowder, and the poke dish we're all top notch.
As stated: I'm kind of known for my grilled blackened salmon sandwich. He wasn't kidding, the salmon was spectacular. The clam chowder was amazing too. Great quick sit right in the middle of the market.
Excellent service and Amazing food. I had their grilled salmon platter which was more than enough. I tried earl grey tea with some honey, they said it's made right here somewhere in Pike place market, Highly recommended. Thank you.
Good food and great for a quick bite.
Great clam chowder. Super friendly staff and they have a few seats available which is nice. Unlimited crackers and it's all so fresh. They have a map on the wall with pins in it for customers to mark where they're from
Had the blackened salmon sandwich. Was really good but I'm a fan of their halibut sandwich. Chowder was really good as well!
I love the clam chowder here! They get very busy but they give you great service despite being so crowded. You can hop inside and dine in or order on the go. Small clam chowder is only like $5. Tip: ask for the chowder bread, apparently it’s their secret menu item!
If you like pancakes, this place is terrible, because they don't serve them here. But if you want fresh seafood to eat, this is your place in Pike Place Market. Unless you call it Pike's Place...if you do that, you should probably just stay home.
Great place... Friendly, fast, delicious food. The price is not low but it is worth it. It's amazing to be eating at a food bar where there are people from at least 8 different nationalities at the same time. It's a Market Place classic... After this, try for dessert a sweet bread from Piroshky (a bakery almost next to the 1st Starbucks), and enjoy the view in the nearby balcony, and your day will be perfect🤙🖖
Serving directly from the grill to your counter-side seat, this eatery will show you exactly how to do a fish sandwich. Order the freshest available for the grill, or go for a stew or chowder! You won't be disappointed.
Terrific lunch! The staff is excellent and knowledgeable, the food was amazing. Try the crab linguini.
Incredible blackened salmon sandwich, it was probably my favorite seafood dish in Seattle. The staff were also excellent and made the experience that much better!!
Stunning. This market is crazy! Such huge numbers of restaurants. We picked prawn. Requested the veggie grain bowl. Quick assistance. Pleasant fixings. Better than average costs for what you get. All self-administration. No servers. Simply request at the counter and hang tight for your nourishment. Seating is any place you need inside the market.
Staff was really nice and helpful. We ordered at the counter but they had space out back so we sat out there. The clam chowder was good but I still prefer the one at Pike Place Chowder. I also ordered the halibut platter. It was ok. Should have just got it grilled without the extras bc it was too filling and plain after the chowder. A little pricy for the platter.
Market Grill should NOT be overlooked if you are visiting Pike Market! The staff are friendly and helpful especially Selena who is a master behind the grill! In short, we have tried the chowder, grilled fish and grilled fish sandwhich. They were not only cooked to perfection but are also a delicious, wholesome taste of Seattle.
My favorite restaurant in Pike’s! The employees here are extremely kind. If there’s no space at the register, they have tables in the back with umbrellas (great for people watching). We ordered the salmon and halibut platters, which came with garlic bread, spring mix, and brown rice. The fish was fresh and the accompaniments were fantastic.A solid meal by kind employees!
The server really tried to provide good service. However it's hard during peak hour when he has to man the register, serve food up to 15 people, manage eating space, clean the area, service water and on top of anything else whilst being polite and nice. Keeping that up during the full length of his shift is not an easy feat. Thus, I can't really make a big deal about how he didn't give me a receipt and threw away half my garlic bread that I was about to get to finishing, so he can clear my table because other people were waiting. The owner needs to hire more people.
This was our favorite spot while we visited pike place market. Definitely go here for lunch. Also a great spot for people watching.
Amazing!Fresh, delicious seafood, fantastic service, nothing bad to say about this place. Definitely worth a visit if you're at the market. (In the picture: Prawns platter with rice and garlic bread, yum!)
Delicious sandwiches and clam chowder! Great for a quick stop for lunch or take to-go. The service is good too; the cashier was super nice and gave me a cup of water while I waited for my food. He also made sure to pack it all nice into the bag before handing me my food. I highly recommend stopping by for at least a quick snack if you're in Pike Place Market.
Food is good. A bit overpriced. Staff could be more organized.
My go-to place for office lunch. Great food. Great portion. Great price. Great people, super nice and friendly, and efficient! Hope they can survive this pandemic and keep serving great lunch.
Not a fancy place more like friendly and cosy. The salmon was well-done (upon request). It had the freshness feeling to it. They did not over seasoned it for sure. The brouwn rice was a bit too sticky and tasteless but the grilled buttered bread with its cruncky buttery sensation made up for it.
We had a great time sitting at the counter inside the market. We were recommended the catch of the day which we had as a platter and the halibut sandwich the fish was incredible, perfectly grilled and the salad accompaniments were surprisingly fresh, didn't expect such good dressing. The staff were chatty and funny.
great food and amazing customer service
overall 3/5 - takeout or sit down at counterservice is great but food needs more TLC1. homemade chowder 3/5* more potatoes than calms* light on seasoning, little bland* taste was better in the past few years* 16 oz is the largest portion; snack size, not filling2. halibut sandwich + rosemary mayo* fish was under seasoned & dryif you're looking for a quick bite, it's worth a trywe always make our 1st stop from Vanc BChope it's better next time around!
Many thanks to chef Chad for hooking us up with the halibut sandwich and salmon platter, it was delicious! You can't beat a freshly grilled fish on a light sandwich roll with season mayo.
Salmon sandwich I tried was very fresh and amazing! Seating can be uncomfortable (bar type) but people working there were really accomodating.
Clam Chowder was perfect for lunch on a chilly day. I would’ve loved to get the salmon sandwich too but couldn’t eat it all! It’s worth waiting for a seat here.
Very fresh grilled seafood. They have outdoor seating at the back, just approach the cashier for seats
Amazing fresh fish sandwiches. Charred salmon, homemade mayo, crisp lettuce, tomatoes on a fresh baguette. Absolutely delicious.
Definitely worth a try. This place seems very unassuming, in fact, you may even walk right by and not notice it. But, you should definitely stop and check it out. It’s even been featured on tv shows. I tried their signature salmon sandwich and it was super good. They use a really nicely flavored mayo and some sweet onions that really work well with the salmon. The down side was the price of the sandwich. I paid $17 for a sandwich and a glass of water. While I was sitting at their very small seating area many people ordered the chowder and it looked good too. The next time I’m wondering around Pike I will be sure to try the chowder.
Seriously, just b-line it for market grill at Pike Place before you do anything else. If you can snag a spot on the counter, it's pretty damn cool. The blackened salmon sandwich is DIVINE and so simple. I'm craving it as we speak.
Tiny little counter in the Pike Market but with seating outside around the back. Absolutley fresh salmon and chowder. No sand or anything grainy in the chowder whatsoever. Smooth and delicious. Blackened salmon is famous for a reason. The cost is true to what you get.
I don't think I could say anything that hasn't been said. The clam chowder is amazing. The employees are friendly and efficient.
Vibrant and fun staff. Quick service. Delicious Halibut and special catch of the day. New England Clam Chowder sells out everyday. Definitely a must try.
I had the salmon sandeich and the halibut sandwich and they were both delicious along w a cup of chowder
I love salmon grill of this restaurant but It's quite big for asian like me
Pretty darn good hand stuffed sausage. It's tight quarters in this Pike place classic. Super friendly staff and right to the point menu. You'll enjoy a muriad of mostly European style sausages. I had the chorizo, the kielbasa and the Cajun. All were good. The fresh made saurkrauts and cabages were good too and provided a nice balanced contrast to the meats.
The place was super crowded when we went there. There was a slight wait for the kitchen bar seating. We really wanted to sit on the inside facing side of the market. The guy at the grill is really chatty but in a good way. Tries to keep you engaged. The catch was definitely fresh. We had the halibut and salmon filet and it was terrific!! Loved the cook on the fish. Get the clam chowder and a sandwich if u have a very big appetite.
